Tisha Pettibon

My name is Tisha Pettibon, I live in Boerne with my husband, Chester Pettibon, and son Cayden.  Our daughter Kaitlyn is married to Ben and they live in Austin. I graduated from UT in Austin with a BA in Biology.  I have been coaching volleyball for 16 years and am proud to have been a greyhound since 2009. I coach to give athletes the ability to be successful at the next level, teach athletes dedication, and help them achieve their full potential through hard work.  The most important aspect for me is the relationships you build with each athlete.  I have many favorite coaching memories. One of the most memorable would be the regional quarter-final game in Blanco, Texas vs. Wimberley in 2012. We finished third in our district that year and got swept by Wimberley twice during district play.  Wimberley was ranked in the top four teams in the state.  We lost the first two sets and won the third set 26-24.  After we won the third set, you could see in the girl’s eyes that they believed they would beat them.  We DID!!! We won in five sets and lost in the regional finals to the state finalist La Grange.  I will never forget the fight of that team, exciting to watch athletes perform even as the ultimate underdog.
