RICHARD BRAUD

Hello, my name is Richard Braud. I’m from all around due to being raised in a military family, but I have been happy to call the San Antonio area home for the majority of my life. I graduated from Samuel Clemens High School in Schertz, TX, and from the University of Texas at San Antonio, where I graduated with a degree in Kinesiology.

I caught the coaching bug by taking a volunteer coaching position at a private school at the age of 19. My coaching career in Boerne began at Boerne Middle School North, where I taught 7th grade science and coached football, basketball, and track for five years. It continues today at Boerne High School, where I am in my second year of teaching aquatic science, as well as coaching football and basketball.

My favorite coaching moment is any time a former athlete comes back to visit. Hearing their stories and what awesome goals they are striving for, and knowing that Boerne High School Athletics was a portion of their journey, brings validation that what we do here is important, and impactful.
