My name is Kimble McHone and I am starting my 35th year in the teaching and coaching profession. I have spent the last 20 years at Boerne High School where I am currently the Head boy's basketball coach and an assistant football coach. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 1990 with a degree in Kinesiology. Before coming to Boerne, I coached at Uvalde High School and Snook High School. On January 10th of 2023 I won my 500th career game. My teams at BHS have won or shared twelve district championships, won over 400 games and have advanced to the regional semi-finals twice (2010, 2018) and the regional finals once (2020) and have reached the State tournament 3 times.(2021,2022,2023) In 2023 I was named the district 27-4A coach of the year as well as the San Antonio Express News coach of the year. I love teaching and coaching in Boerne ISD. I am the son of former San Antonio Spurs Head Coach, Mo McHone. My wife Kari and I have been married for a wonderful 34 years. Kari is a second-grade teacher at Currington Elementary. We have two children, our son Griffin who graduated from BHS in 2013 is currently an Assistant Coach for the men's basketball team at South Florida University. Griffin and his wife Lexie have one daughter Kennedy. Our daughter Ellie, who graduated from BHS in 2018, is a Kindergarten teacher at Fabra Elementary and is married to Bryce Bennett. In my spare time I enjoy playing golf, watching college football and basketball and cheering on my Fighting Texas A&M Aggies!
